Kleber vs. Artemis rails

Has anyone played on both? I have been told that there is a day and night difference between the two. That, Kleber plays much longer, i.e it extends the shots. Is this true?

Also, any idea where I can buy Artemis 37 rails for a reasonable price?

Thanks in advance.

I just recently rebuilt a 1917 Brunswick 5 x 10 billiards table that had already had the sub-rails replaced and Kleber 37 step cushions installed on it...wrong I might add. The cushion height was way to low and the balls hopped off the rails. Brunswick's are not designed for the step cushions, they're designed to take the K55 profile billiard cushions.

But, being the mechanic I am, I cut the sub-rails off and built new sub-rails designed to mount the 37 step cushions...at the customers home I might add...and when I was done, banked the cue ball 11 rails...need I say more?

The tables at the hall I go to, bank 15 rails

Anyhow, back to my o.g questions if possible.

Any comparison of Artemis v. Kleber?

And a source to buy reasonably priced Artemis 37?

I have played both, and cannot tell the difference. The spec sheets are very close. I have the Artemis cushions on my table and it plays very true. If your looking for a better recommendation talk to Mr. Ceulmans. He has endorsed the Artemis cushions and sells it from his website ( http://www.i-billiard.com/?p=1&c=82 ). Local sources here are Muellers sporting goods and Billiard buyers group ( http://thebilliardbuyersgroup.com/products/pool_table_rubber/intercontinental_no_79_caro.html )
