Hi,

I am considering to get a custom.....

Just want to know, which cue is better in term of playability?

In order to have a solid hit, which ferrule is better, ivorine, ivory, or melamine?

And btw, which joint is necessary in order to have solid hit, steel, ivory, or wood to wood?

Ty 4 ur attention

BENDER all the way.

1st, Mikes cue play better then any cue i've played with.

2nd, best points in the business.

Can't go wrong. PM me if you want to have a Bender made.

Bender makes one of the best playing cues out there

I have one for sale in the WTS section

I think ivory ferrules make the cue hit harder...

I bought a nice Klein player from Joe Salazar last weekend. I have owned four Benders and thought they were all great cues, however, I would not place them above the build quality of the Klein. I think they are both great cue makers. I have only played with the Klein I have (ivory joint, Aegis ferrules) to compare with the Benders I have owned. I think they both play great but the Bender's were definitely a little firmer hit. They all had flat face joints with ivory ferrules.

I don't think you can go wrong with either maker. Good luck.

The firmness of the hit is affected by tip hardness, ferrule material, shaft taper, joint material, and the actual weight of the whole cue. A lighter cue will feel like it has a slightly firmer hit than a heavier cue due to rebound. I have ivorine 3 and aegis II ferrules on several of my shafts, but one has micarta and it's definitely a firmer hit than ivorine or aegis.
