Ko takes over WPA number 1 Shane at 9

Hate to be critical, but those ranking are ridiculous. Can't argue with Ko Pin Yi at #1, but some of the players ahead of SVB don't make any sense whatsoever.

The rankings are strictly based on relatively short term tournament performance in WPA sanctioned major international events and some smaller regional ones.

You might not agree with them, but anyone ranked higher than SVB on that list has performed better in the events that are used as a whole for the last year or so.

Shane skipped the 2014 All Japan Championships which were the week before the 2014 Mosconi and that hurt his ranking. He's one of the super-elite --- we all know that.

Well thats not really the point..,

Even with some shiek paying for it to be on the front page, no one came to the event?

The big ones here have fans. Before last year the US Open had more VIP paying fans than Qatar had fans. Period. Turning Stone has more fans in the middle of nowhere-the DCC as well.

Not to mention i said Id like to see it go back to CARDIFF!! CARDIFF is not in the USA for the geographically challenged.

I been to both country's and having it in Qatar is good for the games international growth. Cardiff has a solid Pool community in place already as does all its surrounding country's.

Most of the players from any country other than in Europe and America are use to small crowds.

The game needs growth, the game needs more events everywhere, not one or two popular locations.
