This information has been shared with the members of AZ Billiards for well over a year. Many feel that Trudeau would walk away and not pay the players from the last tournament. Many others feel that Trudeau should be given some leeway since he has already staged the largest tournaments to date and paid out on three of them.

The money came from somewhere. One thing about Trudeau is that he always dreams big. Although his past is a serious flag, the information revealed also paints a picture of a person who is driven to become very rich and very famous. This kind of person will be hard to pressed to walk away from a venture that they believe will catapult them to the riches and fame they desire.

It has been postulated that the end of the IPT will be an unpaid tournament. The Reno event is just that of course.

Time will tell if the IPT will live up to Trudeau's vision and promises. To date there has been a lot of investment on the part of the players in personal effort and monetarily. The investment on Trudeau's part has been far greater so at the moment there exists an uneasy partnership (somewhat forced) among the world's elite pool players and Kevin Trudeau. We will all see shortly whether that partnership will hold up or not.

You left a few colors out of the picture.

It also shows a person that that will lie, cheat, and manupilate anyone and everyone that gets in the way of his dreams, and shows a person that has no regard for the rule of law, mutual respect, or any sense of morality.

But you are perfectly correct in one respect, and KY (oops KT) has done the time in prison to prove it, that is that their bloated egos make it very difficult for them to acknowledge that they have failed. They usually experience extremely hard landings and the last chapters of their stories are not very pretty.

Unfortunately, they also leave a lot of unnecessary wreckage in their wake.

like i've posted in another thread, i believe he needs to be given the benefit of the doubt, and we need to reserve our judgement on him. current cheque fiasco aside which he claims is a one-off, he's done a hell of a lot of good for the game in a short space of time, so let's be reasonable with him.

also for what it's worth, and i emphasise that bit, regarding the nature of his crimes in the past, he doesn't strike me as a particularly bad person. (gets ready to recieve flak for this opinion) he's just a fiercely ambitious entrepreneur who's at worst got a bit greedy and swindled money. he hasn't murdered anyone, and i would wager a huge percentage of successful busnessmen have been dishonest on the way up to the top.

anyway my point is sometimes reading this forum you get the impression that he must have had a past full of rape and murder charges going by the extent of the bashing towards him!
