Scotty T.. nearly went 0-2..........He lost his first round to a guy named Rickey I think from Miss. or bama? was a good match................ As far as I know he is still in it.....He is killing the McMillan kids in the ring games..Lil D they call him.

Chris Miller is playing some great pool as well!

Lil D (Daniel) is a straight shooting young kid from Jackson, Miss. There are a lot of Rickies. I know Ricky P. from N.O. was there. Perhaps he was the one who beat Scotty T. in the first round?

BTW, I hear Hillbilly was banned from playing in the tournaments there; reportedly because he won't stop nit-picking the rack when it's his break.

Must have been some poweful complaining to get banned for that. Is the tournament being played on the bar boxes or the big tables?

Tournament is on the barboxes only. Leaves the bigger tables open for action.

I played in the tourney yesterday. DIdnt shoot well to save my life.. Was the biggest tourney I ever entered.........Im used to the little town bar tournies.

Nah Isnt wasnt Rickey Pete from N.O. that beat Scotty 1st round.. Rickey P. was doin well til a the guy from N. Carolina Bob Ray put him in hte losers last night.......I think the Rickey that beat scotty was from Houma but Im not too sure on that............

I heard different things yesterday regarding Hillbilly........... 1 being he didnt want to have another fight about the rack.... Heard he was banned.........and heard he was goin to the Tourney in Dallas......... I SERIOUSLY doubt he was banned...... White Diamond folks are jsut not like that......

Charlie Brown was not there..........if he was he wasnt playing thas for sure........

Lil Hand (Gus) played solid pool.......... My runnin buddy had many chances to put him in hte losers bracket but simples mistakes made on a person you jsut dont make mistakes on happened.......

Trust me ... the "King of the Calcutta" in those parts is Action Jackson if he is still around.

When the Port Arthur events were happening I have seen 30k calcuttas.

Junior Harris was there once and Action asked Junior what he thought about his chances. Junior said he felt good.... Action raised the bid from
$500 to $1500 !! This was the second auction and JH was on the losing side. Many guys from there would pump up the calcutta but Action was the real driving force.

Goodtime Charlie does have a knack for getting good picks  Plays a little better than most suspect also.

I wasn't talking about "Good time Charlie", I was talking about Charlie Brown, from Henderson, Texas. Two different people. Charlie Brown does not play pool, but he will bet higher than anyone I've ever seen!

Action Jackson is well known here in SE Texas and in Vegas as well. He has been known to gamble big on craps too. He was one of Tommy Sanders' stakehorses when Tommy played Mark Tadd 10+ years back .

I don't know the whole story. They played nine-ball ahead sets for $10k. They played for two days. The set I watched, Tommy got on the hill and Tadd came all the way back to win the set. I believe Tadd came out ahead overall. Back in those days, not many road players were anxious to look up Tommy Sanders. Tadd had a stakehorse that was from Las Vegas. I later heard that the stakehorse pulled up when he felt Tommy was getting on a roll, but I can't verify that. I do know that there was no fear in Mark Tadd.

I was in a brain fog. Good Time Charlie is Charlie Owens I believe. He is usually at all the LA events.

Sounds like your Charlie Brown and Action Jackson would get along just fine!
