Lanz Titlist cue - value??

GoTulane

Shizzle-rific
I know - wrong area, but this is where all the cue buyers hang out, so I thought I would ask.

How much is a Lanz Titlist conversion in very good shape, one shaft, full size tip? No inlays, just a plain old titlist conversion.

Anybody have a clue?
I can pick one up, and wanted to know if I was crazy.

Thanks for all of the help,

Michael

Dick is a real attentive cuemaker. He makes a real good playing cue. I have had a few of them and I was very satisfied with them. It is difficult to give you an idea of the value of a plain Titlist conversion...depends on the points, veneer colors, etc. Never seen one go for less than $650-700, no matter who it was by.

Is there anyway to tell if a titlist is made by Rambo? Any clues? Did he use leather wraps? All the ones that I have seen have ivory butt caps and irish linen.

I have a Willie Hoppe Rambow cue, and Willie Hoppe specifically asked Herman Rambow not to put any markings at any Hoppe / Rambow cues. Whether or not any of the older Hoppe / Titlist cues were made by Rambow, it would be hard to tell, I don't think it is apples and apples.. The Rambow / Hoppe cues are pretty valuable, and I have never heard of a Hoppe-Rambow conversion unless it was done by Balabushka or someone of that era. Who would take a Rambow Hoppe to a cue builder for a conversion, it would lose a lot of value, and there are still some Willie Hoppe Titlist cues out there for conversions.

PJ titlist by a 'non-premium' cue maker....somewhere in the $500-$900 range depending on many variables.

Richard Lanz seems like a good guy, and he sells everything he builds without any problem. I have a Lanz that plays great, it is a very colorful cue.

The above post by cueaddicts is right on with the value, and like he said, there are a lot of variables. Can you post some pics, I would like to see it.
