Where has he been? Have not seen him in any events. Not even listed in turning stone!
 
I know awhile back larry got a job pool just couldn't cut it. Sad on of the top talents in the US couldn't make a living seen so many great players hang it up to make a living in the last 20 years
 
Larry went to {gasp} work for a while. I thought he was back playing again, though.
 
Last time I saw Larry was when I played a match with him at the TS last December. Fastest race to 9 I ever played :lol:
 
Larry is playing BB, on the NY Pride, he, Earl and Warren Kiamco. He also was having some complications with some Eye Surgery. Took quite awhile for his eyes to heal up. My understanding is he was having some trouble with his eyes bleeding after the surgery. Saw him play in an event in Tallahassee a few months back.
 
I think it's sad that a top pro pool player can't make a good living playing pool in tournaments. I've been watching pro pool longer than the younger guys on the forum and most of them probably don't know about the Camel tour which was sponsored by RJ Reynolds tobacco company. The pros actually had a tour to play on with good money to be won, but it didn't last and there hasn't been any major sponsorship deals since for Men's pro pool in the US. The way things have gone the last couple of years it doesn't look like there will be any big sponsors for men's pool anytime soon.

Larry's weakness is he'd rather juice the crap out of the ball than play for a slightly longer shot or easier position another way. Still a great player and underrated at 1P.

Larry won the Grady Mathews Memorial just a few months ago. Brandon Shuff was runner up and Shannon Daulton 3rd.

Larry has a unique style He's great guy and is very passionate about everything he does.

I always look forward to seeing Larry play.

Some people work for a living; some people play for a living. Artists, athletes, bands...plenty of folks out there stuck doing what they loved.

Pay commensurate with activity's perceived value to others.
