Las Vegas Cue Club

Rude Dog

<---Dumb and Dumber
Only 24 players showed up for the bar box tourney at the Cue Club in Vegas today, but the house still added $500. If there were 64 players it would have paid $2,500 for 1st, instead, $750. From what I heard from several players is that one of the players, Jesse Bowman, is the best bar table player in the country. He didn't fare so well in this tourney, race to 7, alternate break, Texas Express rules. After he was knocked out he said, "The whole tournament can have the 8, the whole damn tournament". He plays good, but has a bad attitude. I lost my first match after being up 6-1, then won 5 in a row to finish 4th for $150 back. I didn't play well, played too fast, but for being my first "REAL" tournament with good players in a very long time, I'm happy with the outcome. It felt good to play like that again, with good players, and having to run out instead of knowing that I will get plenty of chances if I miss.

Did they do something with the tables there? The bar boxes were a mess when we were there in December.

Nice return to tournament play, Rude Dog. Looks like your first match gave ya some troubles, but after that, looks like you found your groove.

Ya know, as nice as they keep the 9 footers you'd think they'd put a lil effort into the 7 footers. The rails were in bad shape and one table had a funny roll down near the end rail, which I was a victim on one shot when I got hooked after a u-turn by the cue ball. All in all though, they were okay.

Nice Job

Nice Job Rude Dog. Welcome back. Keep up the good work. I am glad you are enjoying life some. I know where you are comming from buddy. Best of luck my friend.

With permission from my P.O., and 10 days notice, he sometimes lets me go out of state for 3 days max. I don't like to do it though because I have to sit in the finger print lab for 3 hours every time. Verrrrrrrry boring!

the cue club is still the same. The nine foootetrs are the only tables in any descent shape, the 8 foters and the bar boxes are horrible. I was there that night but didnt feel like sticking around for the tournament! Just came to watch the action between Tony and Angel. You dont get to see to ladies play 2,000 a set very often! Wow

Rocky, so you were watching that action huh?

Toni was in Phoenix for the last week or so and was telling us about it. I was shocked that she did as well as she said she did. She sure didn't do as well out here playing the guys.

She was down quite a bit prior to that. She is a hustler, watch her, she always comes out ahead somehow! By the way, it was nice to meet you at the BCA's Mike.

It was good to meet you. You stayed pretty busy the whole time I was there. But then again, that is a busy booth.

Mike
