Going to be traveling to vegas for vacation. Where are some good spots to play? Not looking for serious action, just looking for some good tables and maybe some mild gambling...

Thanks so much!

I like Best Billiards personally. I like that the room is not smokey and its clean along with the restrooms. Great equipment and cheap action depending on who is there.

I'm a fan of Mickey's Cues & Brews. Nice tables (diamonds and GCs) though when I was in there in August they were in need of recovering.

Nick,

AZ should have a Main Forum sticky for this subject. The Vegas rooms are:

LV Cue Club - Located off East Sahara in the Commercial Center. Gold Crowns, One Diamond large Pro/Am, Four small Pro/Am's and several Valley coin op's.

Pool Sharks - On Decatur near Spring Mountain. Many Diamond large and small Pro/Am's, some Gold Crowns and Valley's.

Club Charleston - On West Charleston. Re-opening under new ownership and name.

Mickey's Cues & Brews - Many small and large Diamond Pro/Am's. Some Gold Crowns. Agree with rookie. Nice place but the tables need help. When I was there in July, the tables were using something other than Simonis. Play strange versus other LV rooms.

Best Billiards - Thought they were closed Lenny. Haven't been there in quite a while.

Cue D's - On Jones near Desert Inn. Not the best of choices.

Rum Runner - On East Tropcana. If you're interest is small table, many Diamond small Pro/Am's. Nice place. There is also a small Asian room located in the same strip mall. Primarily billiards but a few pocket tables.

Go to www.vegasbilliardsbuzz.com. You'll find more locations there as well as tournaments and schedules.

I was in Vegas just last week for the Barrett-Jackson car auction. (No I did not buy a car, sat in a few though that I will never be able to afford) I wanted to check out Best Billiards, but found that they were still closed for remodeling even though information I had before I left gave me the impression that they would be open since the remodeling was supposed to be done by Sept 7th. The owners really need to update their message posted on their doors. An employee from one of the shops near Best Billiards indicated to me and my friend that Best Billiards would be closed for another month.

So instead we found Mickey's Cues and Brews. When we got there it was early Friday evening and was very quiet. I found the place to be very clean and the tables were mostly GC's and Diamonds from what I could see. Overall, I really liked the place and I will make it a regular visit with my friend when I make it to Vegas.
