Is Shane shooting with a longer cue too? Everybody seems to be doing that these days, i.e., Earl, Shane, Brandon Shuff, et cetera.
Did not like Donny's choice on moving the cue-ball towards the rail to shoot the 5 and then scratches. How unfortunate!
He had to either go into the cushion and bump the 6, or bump the 6 directly. He just under drew the cueball slightly.
I saw the tail end of the match and it looked to me that the 5 passed the 6 to the top corner and was a little off of the rail. I believe that playing below the 5 and not flirting with the side pocket or bumping the 6 would have been the more prudent play, but then again that may be why I get the 7 for the cash too.
He didn't have the angle to play below the 5.
