And the tall Taipei warrior who's maintaining his lead in the winner's backet, fighting Jayson for the hot seat, is Jung-Lin Cheng.

Look at those eyes. He's on a mission.

Everybody's darling is Shane Van Boening, the South Dakota Kid. Will this be his fifth U.S. Open win? Time will tell. I'm sure the majority of the railbirds will be pulling for this guy. :grin-square:

You just know that there's always going to be a Filipino in the semifinals of the Open, and this year is no different. We have Dennis Orcullo hoping to add another title to his résumé.

Everybody talks about "too much luck in 9 ball" but somehow after 160 players from around the world are gone the same 3 guys are still standing (Shane, Dennis & Jayson) I don't care what the break format is. Does anybody notice a pattern?

One thing for sure, the only way to get to the top is to have a good break.

And then play perfect pool behind it. I'm watching these matches & all I can say to myself is "OMG" I can't believe somebody can play pool this well. Awesome talent.

Shame on you JAM. You made the same mistake that Jerry made. Didn't Dennis knock out Alcaide in a hill-hill thriller? As well as the two players from Spain played, Spain will not be represented in the final four. Taiwan has that honor.

Hey, man, don't kill the messenger.

I'm just providing the stats created by someone else.

that doesn't explain that three of them had a hill/hill match along the way, one game from going out or to the B side. I find that a hard one to explain.

What mistake?

That's what I was wondering too! :p

Jung-Lin Chang will be very disappointed to hear this.
