I think this will be it. It looks like the camera was turned off during some of the guys runs this year and nothing is there. Corey, more by Ruslan, Tobias Bongers, Johnny, and a few more.

The young Russians, Fedor Gorst and Maksim Dudanets have a few but they wanted to put them up on their youtube channel so I sent them the raw video to play with.

Thanks for all your continuing work on this, Dennis, Dana and the others involved in the video.

My pleasure, Bob.

Next year, I think we should keep the cameras going all the time. Each one will have a 128 gb memory card in it and be good for 16 hours. That way we won't lose anything.

We'll also ask the scorers to give the score at the end of the rack loud enough to be heard. It makes figuring out where the high runs are, much easier. You and Stan Haines were the best at enunciating clearly.

You were also the best at putting down the time the runs started and you also mentioned which attempt it was. Very helpful in tracking down particular runs.

I may dig into 2015 and earlier for some older runs to upload, but I think I will take a break for a while.

These runs, as always, so beautifully captured. And how great it is to see so much young talent from abroad (Russia especially and the Filipinos as well) deeply interested in our beloved Straight Pool. Not least, familiar greats like Schmidt, Archer, and Rodney playing very strong, with unflagging enthusiasm year after year..

Many thanks, Dennis for all that you and your DCC colleagues do on behalf the pool community and keeping the game so vigorously alive and ever-present in our lives and recorded perfectly for the viewing (and instructive) pleasure of future generations of players.

Dennis - for someone with limited viewing time, out of the 60+ videos are there any 3 or 4 that come to mind as particularly interesting/informative to start with?

Dan: I have not had the time to watch them yet. I was busy cutting and pasting them together. I have looked at some of them.

I would look at Thorsten's 151. Even without David's commentary it is a nice crisp quick run. With the commentary, it is a must see.

I am watching John Schmidt's 168 ball run. His patterns are always nice to watch.

I would watch the three dutch players that did not get in. Feijen, Van den Berg and Lely. More deliberate but nice and logical patterns.

Something by Mika, of course, but maybe not his high run. He had some bad racks and had to agonize over what to do as time was running out.

Then take a look at some of the others who did not make it if you get a chance.
Darren Appleton, Chinakhov, Jayson Shaw.

Enjoy.

Arnaldo:

There were a few other young foreigners who played. Tobias Bongers from Germany had a 70, but someone had the camera off or I would've uploaded it. Tim de Ruyter from the Netherlands tried a bit, but he was doing everything there and running on fumes and did not put a good number up. Andrey Seroshtan from Russia, and Yuri Kismireshkir. Great guys, but maybe next year.

The younger Filipinos were not here this year but last year they all competed. Ignacio, Medenilla, Geronimo, Bustamente, Faradon.

So we get young Russians, Germans, Dutch, Filipinos, but the young Americans cannot be bothered. Shame.

Rodney Morris is a little excited. He said the 84 is his high run ever and he will be back again next year. He has been coming with Johnny Archer the last two or three years and Johnny tells him he needs to play straight pool. He has been working on his straight pool a bit.

Thanks for the recommendations, Dennis!

You have to finish your comment about Rodney.
