Has the ferrule on the I3 shaft been replaced? I thought the I3 ferrules were 3/8" in length, and in the picture it appears to be about 1".

Just curious.

Older I shafts have the long ferrules. I guess you can call them first generations.

I have had a short ferrule one and now I currently own a long ferrule one.

The I3 shaft is a great shaft. I had one just like it with the longer furrel and even emailed Mcdermott to verify that it was an orrigional furrel.
