Leather install and Refinish

Hi Guys,

I just got my hands on a used Schon STL07. The condition is ok but has some bumps and bruises on the finish. The wrap is in good condition but it seems like it would look so much better with a nice black leather wrap.

Does anybody have some advice on who I can have do this work?

Richard Phillippi refinished my 25-year-old Schon in the Fall, and changed the wrap from Irish linen to a black water buffalo leather. The cue looks better than new.

hands down, steve lomax is the best leather wrap installer I've ever seen.

Ryan is really good, too, but those Lomax wraps, man, they look like they grew on the stick.

Do you have his contact info? I did a quick bing search and didn't see it.

Call Dave Jones. He is in Seattle area and does great leather wraps, and makes a fine cue!

I second that opinion. Steve does great work, not only with any kind of wrap you choose, but also with restoring the cue to as good as new.

Why not send it to Schon? I sent one a while back and it's now perfect.

I'm gonna second this. A few years back I sent them an R-Series and it turned out PERFECT. Leather wrap and all.

Cant say enough good about the experience. Timely, reasonable price. Just a glowing review.

"I had proficient do one 1st. There is no comparison."

I've never had a problem with Proficient doing all kinds of work in the last 10 years...fast, reasonable, very well done. What was your experience?
