When you have a leather wrap on a cue, is it possible to put a linen wrap back on and it match up with the finish? or would it be too deep on the handle...

it can be done

it would be too deep but the handle can be built back up with epoxy.take it to an experienced cue maker/repairman

Sure!

Actually epoxy can be used to build it up, but what a pain in the butt!

The easiest way is to go to your linen drawer and find that roll of the ugliest stuff you have. You know that roll that you bought for that one cue and you have never used it again because it is ugly! Then, just wrap the cue with the ugly stuff and wipe the epoxy into that. Let it dry and sand it down to the size you need and wrap it up with the color you want. The linen underneath keeps the epoxy nice and even so you don't have to worry about high and low spots.

LOL...I have actually sanded the leather down and just put the linen on top and it came out great and feel awesome in the hand. I first saw Don Broos did this to one of my cue and love how it feel...best of both world.

Duc.
