leather wrap labor time?

Dave you go out of your way to be rude, it's that necessary?

Having actually visited a couple of Cue-makers shops before you started making Cues, I understand the process, machines involved and last that Wood is not like Machine say 316 Stainless. Each piece of Wood is different, with on challenges.

Have seen a couple of people who do Leather Wraps for Side Hustle, they work is right up there. Yes there is a learning curve to do Tip, Wraps, Leather Wraps, but it not rocket science.

Just a learn curve like most things in life, if you practice enough you get better with time at task.

Pool Cue are like a set of Bob Parson’s Golf Clubs, PXG, they can play great in hands of skilled player. The Clubs or Cue alone do noting on own but sit there quietly.

Rude? I don't think so. I don't go out of my way to do anything that has to do with you. You allow it to just come naturally. People like you bring this down on themselves and then want to blame everyone else. You know the type???
I'm telling someone, YOU, who has never built a cue in their life to quit acting like someone who has a clue.
Which you don't.
Bruce, this is the Ask the Cuemaker section. Not ask someone who doesn't have a clue and acts like a poser.
Nobody here cares about your so called wisdom about building cues, golf clubs or any other thing that has to do with actually building a cue.
Give it up and move along.

Well said, as always!

My cue repair guy just put a leather wrap that I supplied on my cue.
He had to remove the linen and replace with leather for a very reasonable $50.
My question is he said it takes him 4 hours to do the job, is this about right?
I'm not sure, but my thinking is most leather has more vertical height, therefore he might have to spin it up (trim it down) to fit, allowing the leather to be flush with the butt.

If your cue was a Predator BK2 with a sports wrap then he did it pretty quick. That glue they use on the wrap is brutal to take off. I would still be working on it, lol.
