Leather wrap question

Ive always noticed a big difference in the quality and feel of leather wraps. I was wondering where Hercek, showman and some of the makers get their leather. I am looking for a piece or two. Thanks, Deacon
 
Not sure what you're looking for exactly but there's some sweet looking black Italian leather wraps for sale right now in the Wanted/FS section.
 
Called Joel Hercek. He will tell you. I asked him about 5 years ago what color leather was a available and he said only black. He uses leather that was used on car seats of a Cadillac. I am not sure of the exact year but it was from the 60's.
 
how do the smooth black wraps that proficient billiards puts on compare? anyone tried one?
 
Also PM Martin Bick (jazznpool) he has a big selection and quality products. Very consistent thicknesses.
