Leather wrap slipery

Is there a way to make a smooth leather wrap that is very slick, rougher or tacky so it's easier to feel ? I know that I could just change the wrap, but it's the original on a new condition cue. So I would rather keep it.

I would stay away from Car wax and look into a organic surfboard wax. If the surfboard wax can withstand the weight and friction of the surfer and the natural elements of the ocean (salt) then why not try. Or use natural bee wax. Before applying on a high end / custom cue, try on a house cue to test to make sure that it does not gum up are leave resedue.

I don't know that I've seen any house cues with leather wraps.....

I don't know what to suggest to make the leather rougher without sacrificing the appearance.....

Best bet would be to replace it with a textured wrap or EE

I'm sure not the answer you were looking for :(

Appreciate the replies. It's on a very nice cue and I would definetly like to just keep it as is. But I'll see if anybody else has any ideas. Thanks again.

I just picked it up a short time ago and your right it hasn't seen hardly any playing time at all. I might try the saddle soap in just a little spot and see what happens.
Thanks..............
