Imran majad down 7-10 against van, is nearly locked on the 9ball. Thins it up table and leaves a hard bank/crazy cut. Lee van , frozen to the rail goes for the cutshot. Jaws is (from my angle was lucky to do that) the cueball comes back around and pockets the 9 ball. Wins the match. Wow. Place went crazy. If I could use cuetable on my iPhone, I would show the shot. Hope someone got it on tape.

Wow that sounds like it was a crazy shot . i think he's going to win the open..
 
The stands went wild on that one. I was watching Parica when it happened. I hope someone puts it up on cuetable.
 
The cue ball came off the side point and crawled to the foot corner, and barely nudged the 9 in. It was the 5th loudest roar/applause I'd heard in my 3 days there (the other loudest's were all from you know who's matches). Lee Van has a very large Fillipino contingency routing for him, surely the largest foreign contingency.

After the match, Donny Mills came up to Lee Van and was congratulatory and said something like "that's the craziest shot in the Open." ... "Do I play you next?" lol. No Donny, you got the Rocket.

Here's the shot or pretty darn close. Lee cut the snot out of the 9 and it sat right on the edge of the hole. The cue ball came back off the side point with only the minimum speed left to barely barely nudge the 9 over the edge.

Game, set, match. Imran just had to smile and shake his head in disbelief. Like a good gent, he shook Lee's hand.

I cannot see this shot on my computer although I have installed the necessary programs. I don't seem to be able to use the wei table anymore. Too bad since I saw the shot as it was played. It is one I will never forget.
 
I think it was more like this. The cueball was closer to the rail and the 9 was a touch harder to cut. (at least from my angle.)

I remember thinking... "he has to bank or play safe... NO WAY he is cutting this ball... oh my god he is cutting the ball. WOW he made it, oh my god, he missed it... oh, oh, ohh, OHHHH OH MY GOD!"
