Lee Van Corteza vs Neils Feijen 9 pm match

Are we writing to each other. It doesn't appear anyone else cares.

BTW- 4-1 Van Van. 9 on break

maybe everybody is watching live via BcN. Lee Van is looking good. appears very impressive in the opening games. Very relaxed style. If he wins this one, he is my dark horse for this tournament.

Lee Van Corteza is making it look too easy in the opening games. What is this, Neils seems like he is complaining and they made Lee break harder.

Neils complained to Behrman about Corteza's soft break and Barry had a talk with Lee Van. Corteza promptly broke hard and scratched in the side.

Now 5-2

Does anybody know if the soft break is not allowed in this tournament? The commentators seem to think it is unfair to Lee and this shifted the momentum back to Neils. Have seen a lot of soft breaks earlier and nobody seemed to complain.

The soft break was covered in the players meeting. The rule this year was no soft break- break from the box.

BTW- Neils just scratched looks like it will be 7-2 Van Van. Yep 7-2

thanks for the info. Does not seem to bother Lee Van anyway. He is very cool and confident. He is making Neils look like an amateur. Am very impressed with his game so far.

Neils played a safe but pushed the 1 by the side pocket. Van kicked it in and looks to be out.

9-4

9 to 4 Corteza. 2 more to go. BTW, Ronnie Alcano just demolished Chris Bartrum 11 to 0.

I think Corteza has scratched like 4 times on the break. How the hell is he winning doing this I don't know.

I think they are trying to set a record for the amount of times they can say "billiard" in one minute. LOL

When he switched to the hard break, that is when he started to scratch on the break. Otherwise, this game would have been over a long time ago. Lee plays great safeties though. But he needs to practice more on his hard breaks.
