LeePro Tips?

Anyone use or have used LePro tips? I have been using them for as long as I can remember, since I figured out how important a tip was for playing. My question is are they still considered one of the top non-layered tips? I tried the Moori tip when they first came out and didn't like it. Maybe they are better now. Or maybe it wasn't put on right. Johnnyt
 
Like you I have been using LePro for years. I buy them by the box (of 24 or so). I let a fellow who could use the money install a couple of Sniper medium tips on my Predator shaft and on one of my Motty shafts. Figured they would be worth trying and I liked the idea of helping a fellow pool player make a couple of bucks.

Sniper makes a good tip and I like the hit and the feel. None-the-less I will put my LePros back on the next tme as I don't think it was worth the extra money. I think that the LePro plays just as well, maybe a little better, than the Sniper.

I know that people state that LePros are erratic with some good and some poor tips but I have not found that to be the case. I think that it is important to center as well as possible and then sand as needed. I also think the LePros last longer and have a better consistency through out their life span.

So that is one guy's opinion, I am sure there are othes.
 
Johnny, I believe your Dale Perrys come with Le Pros. I've tried alot of different tips and kind stuck on either Milk Duds or Talisman. If I ever went back to a medium hard tip, it would probably be a Pro tho.
 
I played with them for years but got tired of sometimes changing tips three or four times in a two week period because they would mushroom and feather like crazy. Cue makers tell me you can still go through a box to find 6 or 8 good ones. I'm playing with Triangles at the moment, and I've been told they are the same way, good if you can find the good ones, not so good if you can't.
Good LePros were good and the others not. Last I knew, Loree Jon Jones was still playing with them, after all these years.
