Leon was a good friend to me. He was always sharing advise with me to guide my cue making. Did it for 10 - 11 years. He was very direct. You never had to question what he was thinking - because he was gonna tell you! He would explain different build techniques very concisely, and seriously. He was a pretty good teacher. He had a funny side that most people didn't get exposed to. Had me in tears, laughing - a few times. Im going to miss him.
We spoke weekly, usually around 1 - 2 am. Sure will hit me around that time. Im glad to have known him. Fly high, my friend!

Very sad to hear this, I have and still use to this day one of his cues. Total accident how it came to me, but, ever since the very first hit, I knew I'm not letting this one go.... RIP.

I too had talked to Leon on the phone a few times and still play with a sneaky he built.

Condolences to his Family and friends.
RIP Leon.

Leo made a great Cue, honestly I had one of his 4 Point Peacock Inlay Cue, Ebony & Highly Figured Birdseye.

It was drop dead georgious, some AZBer bought it.

Sad to hear about Leon.😢

RIP Leon. I bought a couple of his early cues. I'm glad I got to know him personally.

I'm shocked to hear this as I spoke with Leon just a few weeks ago. Deep condolences to his family. Leon has been a valued leather wraps customer of mine for nearly 20 years. We had many pleasant conversations. He had a great sense of humor.

Hate to hear this. Leon made me a cue and I've owned several more of his. He made great cues and I always enjoyed my interactions with him. Just sold an ebony one a few days ago. Now I wish I had kept it. The points on my avatar are even a Sly I used to own.

The one he made for me is currently back at his shop getting something corrected. Going to try not to get my hopes up about seeing that again.
