Thanks for the laugh. I needed it. I hate these threads. I'm usually wrong but I can't help it sometimes. But it really is funny how negative threads escalate quickly here.

All the cuemakers will hate this but I don't understand why people order a cue and wait ages for it not knowing when they will get it when there are pawn shops. If you put in a little time you will discover nice cues show up at pawn shops from time to time which the people at the pawn shop will sell cheap.
 
or simply research some of these makers and see how they do business. and why on earth would anyone send more than a tiny good faith deposit to someone that wasnt going to complete their order for a year or more. and especially since the maker has not much in material costs involved and can certainly resell almost all cues quickly if the buyer backs out.

any real money should be sent in less than a month of receiving it so you can cancel the sale on your credit card if it doesnt arrive in time. protect yourself or be the victim.
 
I built cues since the 90's as a hobby. Never took a dime for a deposit on any order. I usually built what I wanted and then offered them for sale. I never had problems.
