I posted my 2 Monte Carlo cues here, the Adam Icon is smaller on the later one with box on the bottom stacked, not spliced.
I believe that is a Decal cue, not real inlays. DX seriesHaving trouble id ing this one
Hmm ok thank you, friend's cue he got quite a while back I think. Anywhere I can look up the DX series, my googling is not coming up with anything.I believe that is a Decal cue, not real inlays. DX series
Very cool!
Very cool! Here's my last AdamView attachment 841883View attachment 841882m I kept. It's an '80's "FG" model, 58" long. The only cue I've seen with the butt and pin being stainless steel but with the brass pin. Not fancy I know, but shoots stiffer than I've seen with the Adam cues I've had before.
Is that a finish over the wrap? I don't recall Adam usually doing that. Very nice cue.I came across this one this morning and grabbed some quick pictures.
Sorry for nasty pictures on the floor. Probably a hair or two in there.![]()
I am not yet set up for taking cue pictures and just grabbed some shots while having my morning coffee.
Adam CB-25 from the Adam Superstar Lineup. Used, but like new condition except for some chalk staining on the ferrule which I have not cleaned. Personally, I think it is the nicest cue in the line. I am a fool for dashed rings. The only thing I would criticize in the design is the lack of a matching ring at the A joint, which I would really love on this cue. To me, it is simply missing.
Interesting that the butt sleeve windows (windows?) are actually done as rings with inlaid dots, while the matching forearm windows are inlays with dots. Same aesthetic achieved 2 different ways. Probably easier/quicker/cheaper, less labor intensive, to do the butt sleeve that way rather than inlays, I guess.
These are among the cues/cases I lost records about. I don't remember where or when I got it. I also don't remember where and when I got the Fellini. Is that what is called "buggy whip" leather? I'll be storing a different cue in this case, and have a nice 1x1 for this cue.

I have looked closely. It is kind of like some of the old Mali cues.Is that a finish over the wrap? I don't recall Adam usually doing that. Very nice cue.
My guess would be that it has a sanding sealer over it and buffed.I have looked closely. It is kind of like some of the old Mali cues.
There is something on it, but not really like a Meucci. Some kind of "finish", but it feels nice, like a highly polished and starched wrap, but looks a bit shinier than that. It could just be finish over wrap, it kind of looks like it, but it does not feel like it.
So, I am not sure.
I know years ago the old Mali cues like that were discussed and I don't know if there was ever a conclusion.
I am really thinking that's it.My guess would be that it has a sanding sealer over it and buffed.
