Let there be light

The tray and rack for the balls on my table happen to be in the darkest side of my room making it difficult to always know what balls are in the tray and rack. And since these days on my table one pocket is the game of choice, it's important to always know what the count is. I made a slight addition to remedy that situation. I put in a divider to seperate the balls when they hit the tray. This way it's easy to know who made what. For all other games the divider is out of the way when it's in the up position. It takes two seconds to reposition the divider to the up or down positions.
I then added 12 volt low voltage led tape lights for the ball racks and a couple of puck lights for the tray. Adding a vinyl covering to the tray with some batting underneath to quite the balls as they fall into the tray. Everything that was added to the table can be removed in a few inutes to preserve the table to it's original condition.

Years ago I made a couple t shaped dividers for some tables (one pocket). I never understood why there wasn't a commercial product out there.

I imagine the light looks really cool with the Centennial siding.

On your table, is that a tube type return? How quietly do the balls roll down to the cushioned box?

The original was cardboard tubing and over time it gave way. Ernesto Dominguez rebuilt it with the same size pvc that he split in half and then lined it with felt. When the balls hit the pocket nothing is heard until the balls softly drop into the tray. The most noise is heard when the balls drop and hit another ball that's in the tray.
