leveling an anniversary

I need to level an anniversary. I don't want to pry on the legs without getting some advise first.

What?! Have I inadvertently stepped on the stupid question button?

I think you did! Why are you prying on the legs? While i have had to shim between frame and leg assemblies before, traditionally the shims go under the legs. Regardless of where they go, lift from the frame. No prying neccesary. Hope i understood your question!:)

you got it large flat shims under legs to floor and small shims or a washer or two between frame and legs wood aprons run deep enough to hide shims. get your frsame dead level ou should only need a few shims for the slate seams.

just a few shims for the slate? .....then why do diamonds have so many leveling points? ....I followed the leveling guide in this forum and must have used at least 20 leveling points/ shims...

did I miss something? ....i got the frame dead level ....but that was just the easy part....then went to the basic slate leveling ...that was pretty easy only a few points .....then it got crazy and I was shimming like crazy ...

anni leveling

Just my two cents if the table is installed on top of carpeting. I have a cousin who used to professionally install lots of older tables and he would first install everything and do some the leveling, but then come back to re-level 2 weeks later, or longer. The slates apparently need time to fully compress the carpet and its padding.
