it's been a few years since i've been there
details may be sketchy at best
think it's called GARRADS??? GERRARDS??? something like that
larry price plays there
on winchester road, which is route60 ?????

I live in Lexington. There are not many rooms around here. Most of them are bars. The two rooms are the Rack Club and Silver Cue. I will probably be going to the rack club later. They have 7 nine footers (3 diamonds and a gold crown) and a bunch of eight foot tables, three bar boxes. It is kind of lacking, but there is not much around. Louisville has all the juice. You can find a good game if you're willing to drive there.

brandon, is my info above correct
know the place??????????

?????????

If you are going to Lex leave your poolcue home. You got a better chance of getting it stolen or robbed than you do getting any action. I talked to Danny B. that used to own rack club an he bought 13 9footers last week but hes putting them in storage for rifgt now. If he opens another place it will be all nite action again............

I used to go to a place in the mall between the Hyatt and the arena/convention center. It was a nice room.

Is it still there?

I was there for a convention about 15 years ago. I was practicing by myself. A guy I knew from the convention came in with another guy and they sat and watched me play for a minute. After I broke & ranout a 9-ball rack, they said I was too good for them. Then they got a table and started playing for $100 a game. Neither one could make 3 balls in a row, I felt like a complete idiot. My friend went off for about $1,500. They were gonna ask me to join in a ring game before they saw my speed.

Two weeks later, the other guy murdered someone. Now I'm glad I didn't play him.

You're correct about Lex. The room that Danny owned was the rack club. It is not a good place, it is just the only one I can go to for a game. There are not any places left here to play.

My Wife and I went to the Silver Cue on East New Circle, not a bad place at all. There was about 12 8 footers, 4 9 footers,(all olhausens) I think 4 bar boxes( Valleys). Tables was clean, Place was clean, and most tables were being used. Price was $4.00 per person per hour, We were shooting scotch doubles, but The owner cut us a break, which was nice. As far as action I'm sure it could be found. Didn't feel threatened at all, But did keep my eye on the bike, After all paranoia is nothing but 100% awareness! Would I go back again? Yes..................Charlie D
