Are his cues really that Crappy? Have you ever seen one in person or shot with one? Are they better than the cues you make? Are you a better pool hall owner than he was? You are very judgmental for someone without a clue.

I appreciate your coming to my defense but it's a waste of time to argue with MORONS like that. He obviously hasn't a clue about me, my cues or anything pertinent for that matter so he attacks! I just put people like that on "ignore" now and don't let them get to me. But thanks again!

Glad you served and as for me you have no idea of my service you freak. you and cuesmith are so full of it. both of you can kiss my ass, losers. lol

stick for sale

Yes they do protect me, and they protect your kind as well. I proudly served in the Marines for over 9 years so I am also one of the "misguided ones" that allows the freedom for you and others to sit on the sidelines and run your mouth. Just what good have you ever done for your country?

The only one whining here is you, grow up and enjoy the RED.

You probably should just sell your cue and stop playing all together. The league most certainly doesn't need cry babies like you in raleigh.

HEY TWIT!
I have no intentions of getting into a drawn out argument with an asshole like you but I did a little search on your previous posts and I can't tell if you're the pimp or the whore for APA. All you do is attack anyone who posts anything negative about APA and you obviously haven't a clue what you're talking about. You've never had anything constructive to add to this forum! Just your nasty, mean hearted insults! Get a life asshole! Knocking someones military service is just about as low as a person can get and being one of those crazy Vietnam Vets you've probably heard about you've kind of rubbed me the wrong way. Of course you're a "Keyboard Commando" who post all that garbage that you've been posting behind an alias because you're too cowardly to ever say these things face to face! You make me sick! I'm adding you to my ignore list like I should have done before, you no good cowardly, loser!

You did not serve this country. If you had served at all you would show more respect to others that served. You would have also ranted how your branch was better than the Marines. Just like all of your posts on this forum on how the APA is so much better than the other leagues.

How about you actually try to contribute to this forum? There are a lot of pool players on here, and most have years of knowledge and experience and contribute to each other with advice, good stories, and information. Your only contribution thus far is to call everyone who downs your precious APA a loser. Who is the real loser here?

I actually feel sorry for you. You apparently, eat, sleep and sh*t APA, no wonder you are so screwed up.

Back to aswering the questin is there life after APA
well that would depend on what u are looking for, if u want a mom and pop enviorment and are skill level 2-5 and have no desire to become a better player thats a league for you,

If your a better player and want to improve APA will impead ur progress more than other leauges because of its 23 rule 25 is a much better and offers a better chance to catch a good match less dumping in TAP

If u want to be a social butterfly play APA or beer pong if u want to be a good player run and hide from it and hit the weeky and weekend turny trail
take it on the chin and get back up and swing again,
Thats how good players got good , not by rules that allow u to win but by paying ur dues , like all good players have

morons

Well said

You both are morons, no one questioned anyones's military service and you would have known that if you could read. I have spent more time in the military than both of you whiners. No, i don't post a lot because i actually have a life unlike you idiots. I have also read your posts and haven't found much positive info. in your insightful wisdom, lol. and you should know about whore's.

I am sure u are rite there, their is more the enough crybabies there already, further more WFC whether the room makes money or not , thats not what this post is about , its about life after apa and the overwhelming answer is yes unless ur a low level ball beater with 0 skills then hey pound away but for us guys who can play 5-6 level one handed ,turnys are a far better choice for a skilled player, A friend of mine one of the highest % players in the history of the APA can barely crack the top ten in our regional turnys if he spent his time at upper level play he would be a much better player now, short races bad rules and dumping of low players on better hinders the path to get better, there is no arguing that,
If u want to be the big fish in ur little pond stay APA and maybe u will win one of their coveted MVP patches but don't forget to put ur dollar in the envelope if u dont have a dollar let me know I will mail u one of mine:D

Obviously you cannot read, if you had you would see I have contributed to this forum. I have given advice, reviews, sold a few things, and bought quite a bit. No, not as much as some, but much more than you have with your insults to everyone who has had a negative APA experience. Do you really think you comments are helping the APA? This forum and the APA don’t need people like you. Yes, I just stuck up for the APA! I have enjoyed most of my time playing APA and had years of fun. It has helped the pool world and great for new players. After the past couple of sessions I am just tired of it right now and need a break. So you decide I am a left wing whining loser because of this. Great analysis, you’re on to me.
Also if you could read, you would have read that I AM questioning YOUR military service. You ain't sh*t boy, and us military types don't take kindly to people claiming they served who didn't. A keyboard commando is not considered military service. You have the intellect and maturity of a pubescence boy. I am done with you.

To everyone else that has responded to this thread, I thank each of you for your comments. I joined APA masters league 5-6 years ago and it increased my game a lot. I am really curious how much the tournament scene could increase it even more.

There are many people on this forum who fail to contribute to the discussion at hand. I just get to know who they are and skip over their posts. Good luck with your argument.

Ok lets start here, the masters league is a good steping stone, but thats what it is , the 9 ball rules and point system is worthless in the real 9 ball world and 8 ball is not far off ,

ball in hand anywhere after the break is the only way to play, and will improve your break game thats critacal for turny play

You have some good turneys down ur way, when I first started playing planet pool my improvement came in games one and not matches one .
my first open turney match was against jose parica, I made the 9 on the break and lost 9-1, I went 2 and out many times and was losing matches 9-2 9-3 , then started playing better losing 9-6 9-7 then I started winning some , now give or take I am at 50% WL

I wish I jumped in when I was much younger and I feel I wasted years of pool in the APA thinking I could play and then found out what real pool is all about
at upper turny play.

Hit the trail put in ur time pay attention dont get discouraged and when u get knocked down get back up and do it again , there are pro level players all over down there watch and learn , u wont regret it

I appreciate the advice. There are a lot of really good A players in the area and although some play league, there are more who don't. I am ready and excited to take that next step.

The 23 rule really doesn't bother me much in 8 ball because the highest you can go is a 7. You can still field a very strong lineup within this limit.

Where it really hurts is 9 ball when you can go all the way up to a 9. Once you play the 9 you only have 14 to field 4 players. That can be tough action.

I had already been thinking about the GSBT. They will be close to here in mid Aug and a friend had already suggested I give it a try. I will look into the Viking tour as well.

As far as instructional, I watch a lot of pool online and on TV, and have done quite a bit of reading too. I am actually reading Banking With The Beard right now. Hopefully my bank game will improve so I can play one pocket a little better. Thanks again for your advice, this is what I was hoping to get from this thread.
