Lifting points on titlist, easy repair?

Just curious, but.....

If somebody were selling such an old cue (or considering buying it)...could it not be difficult to tell if the points were re-glued down? I mean, assuming it were done neatly?

I am not suggesting fraudulence but these cues have been around a long time, an old repair might be there and one might not even know.
