Aloha all,

I'm in the market to buy a rubber bumper for one of my cues and I ran across this thing several times in my online search.

It seems to be a bit overpriced and I've never seen anyone using one so I got to wondering if anybody on here had ever seen one in action or tried one.

Would appreciate any information from anyone with knowledge about this product.

I have tried this product on a couple of cues. Honestly I can't tell a difference in how the cue plays, but the cue feels better, more solid. I would guess that some of the vibration is lost in the bumper so that's why the cue feels more solid, but I would pass on this product unless you're feeling too much vibration and it's a problem for you. Personally I like feeling everything when my cue hits the ball because I can then better judge if I'm hitting too hard or soft and products like these dull that feeling.

By the way, if you DO end up getting one of these only buy the model that screws in (if it fits your cue). I have used the other ones without a screw and they loosen up over time and pop off lol. Those are definitely not worth it. I don't use any of these on my cues anymore, mostly did it to try it out as i was curious, but yeah focus on your tip rather than the bumper if you want better performance.

generally you will find techies who will swear by the latest gizmo- this thing has been out 15 years and i dont see too many people swearing by them.

HawaiianEye...IMO it's bunk!

Limbsaver

I have one on my Schon and I can't notice any difference. For me, its just a super boingy bumper. It does, however, provide me with some amusement while I wait playing straight pool. :p

It's an odd feeling when you first use it. It eliminates vibration, so when you shoot it seems to dull the hit. I don't know if that's good or bad but it feels different and there's less movement after the hit. I believe this technology is already built into the Predator P2 and P3. It may also be in the lucasi's but i'm not sure.
