Works Great, does only what its supposed to do!!

I believe this (Hand Held - tool does a much better job- than any of the 50 others on the market. All you need to do is ruff it up -(to hold chalk) not actually tear the layers, or punch holes in the leather tip. I learned this from Richard Black years ago. He made his own tips(Hard) and gives special instructions on how to maintain them. Mark
 
Watched the vid too, still not sure what it is. Is it just some sandpaper or other roughing surface in a nice wood box??

Looks nice, cant wait to run into one in person to see.

It is not sandpaper. It is a metal plate with the grit close to 400. It won't wear out. These things are the nuts.
 
If you play with a layered tip, it's a must have!
