This wasn't the biggest turn out, but there are at least four more players that should have been here. The format ended up working awesome. We did race to 12 points or 25 innings, whichever comes first. Which kept the time down. We started at about 12:30 and ended about 5:30. The next tournament will be held on the third Saturday, July 17th @ 11:30am.

Video links are below, it's my first time doing the video and no one was really monitoring the camera.
Whoops! I guess I'll have to upload somewhere else, you tube apparently sucks, and doesn't allow videos longer than 10 minutes. Loaded to viddler.com and they work nice.

Steve,
Thanks for the encouragement. I currently have 8 players including myself, that come to play on a regular basis. The tournament was a good excuse to get everyone together. I am hoping that I can bring a few more people into the fold, by offering the tournament once a month. I might eventually, be able to handicap it, but for the first couple, we'll just have to wing it!

Here is the link to some diagrams of the shots that might be played if you would like to view them. Shots will be selected from these on a random basis, probably at most five. Of the 15.

I thought about streaming the tournament, but there isn't any internets available down there. Although I might record the video anyway, we'll see.

I live in NE and would like to play, can you send me a pm on the next one!

tiger37373! Please post Result, pictures [if any], and video [if you were able] of your tournament.

Don't worry, I will be posting all the info in the next couple days. My computer is processing all the video, today. I will probably upload tonight, so it will be viewable maybe tomorrow, we'll see.

I'll be honest, I'm not sure that it was worth all the effort to do the video of the tournament. I just looked at the stats. Out of 6 videos that I uploaded, some weren't even viewed once with a total of 18 views across all the videos. If there is a real interest in these videos please let me know and I will try it again for the next tournament in July. Otherwise, it will be one less thing that I have to worry about.
thanks,

DEEK-a- MOM<--------- Hey Jaime, THE REAL POINT OF THE VIDEOS IS THAT THEY ARE A HISTORICAL RECORD of the rebirth of CAROM billiards in the MID WASTE. YOU ARE NOT ALONE........their are others like you out there. Consider the area bounded by Duluth, Minot, Denver, Okie City, St Louis, Columbus OHIO, Detroit.....what does the USBA do for us here out in this great MID WASTE ???? NOTHING.....I tell you. WELL, IF THAT BE THE CASE LET US DO SOMETHING FOR OURSELVES....ARE WE JUST MUSHROOMS???? PIGS AT THE TROUGH ?????:( RAT FOOKERS ???:p

SO GOOD JOB WITH THE EVENT and good luck with the next one. Just turn the cameras on and let them run and save the video for HISTORY.
Sorry about those crummy joint protectors. If you want to go into it on this thread I have allowed it by those words. All I will say is mea culpe...some day I might just stop in and play but it would have to be a passing by sort of thing, as Lincoln is just not a destination of choice, at least not anymore. Now when I lived two years in OMAHA I probably made it there at least eight times, but that was way back in 1977-79.

Tournament film

Dennis,
I am hoping for a much bigger turn out for this next tournament in July, and i will try to film, at least most of it. I like having the record, but it is also for other people to view. If no one is interested in watching the vids, then i can just save a ton of effort and keep the copies on my hard drive.

By the way. I would never slander someone publicly, unless they really deserved it (you don't). So far, you've been fair with me, and I hope you feel the same way. So, no worries....
