You two may no longer enter into dialogue. We are going to settle this like real men. You both must go fo a long walk and the first one to drop as a result of exhaustion wins. The other must keep going until he wins too.

John, I recommend simply removing the link to Jack's site. It's a simple and reasonable request. I understand your initial reason for including that link amongst the others on that page on your site - and I also believe Jack is shooting himself in the foot by requesting its removal (it could well generate business for him) - but if he doesn't want a link to his site from yours, then I would remove it.
You both need a time-out from each other, methinks. Maybe later on when tempers have cooled, you two can amicably resolve your differences.

I consider you rather idiosyncratic, but kind of like you anyway, maybe because of that fact. Don't we all have our foibles? IMO This post is just another one of the many posts I've seen as of late that accomplishes nothing other than trying to get others to take sides on an issue that only the 2 people involved REALLY know whats truly going on and it's something that should be dealt in private between the 2 parties and not in this public setting. 
(Granted there are a few exceptions like the totally obvious scammers/thiefs that need to be outed.)
IMO this crap needs to stop. IMO It has no real value here on AZforums to anyone other than the 2 parties involved. IMO It's in poor taste and uncalled for.
Other posters reading this can tell me I'm nuts or flame me for giving my honest opinion, or they can agree with me wholeheartedly, it doesn't matter either way but what I just said needed to be said as far as I'm concerned.
I hope the 2 parties involved here can come to a peaceful resolution with a happy ending for both.

i'm just a by stander here, but things like this happen in business often and need resolution, even better cooporation and synergy not negitativity, i understand and respect principals but at what cost??? this aint my business, I aint gonna get into it but I would suggest that it would be to everyones benefit if it were handled privatly, if not....DING DING DING......."Lets get ready to rumble",,,,,,,,,,let the punches fly...Nah, figure out a way to work together and make more $$$$. best of luck to everyone involved.

FWIW, I think the whole design thief argument is weak. Its as if to say Skip James stole 12 bar blues from Robert Johnson, and then Charlie Patton chimes in to say Johnson stole the blues from him, then Son House chirps in to say, hey what about me, etc... In addition, I like JB's cases but they aren't really for me... so I've found the links on his site very helpful in terms of referring me to other sites of casemakers that I may like more. This is not criticizing JB's cases... They are wonderful cases, but just too extravagant for my taste.

Honestly though, I'm under the assumption the link is being left purely out of spite. The honorable business thing to do would be remove the link and move on. If one person does not wish to be on another's list of alternative products, then that is a simple gesture to remove it.
