"Little" Joe Villalpando--Local News Feature

I will have to get Lil Joe's DVDs.

He is a great instructor and I know these videos are worth it.

Have to put these on my wish list with the others.

Here's a payday Joe and his Brother in-law Cheyenne Pete recieved and the check is still hanging in Petes poolroom in Cheyenne. Joe and Pete beat some impressive teams in this one including Hall Of Famers Billy Incardona in the semifinals and finals of this event. Joe partnered up Danny Medina in this event also and couldn't get there, but him and Pete shot lights out together and got the money. Pete learned to play from Joe, and his students have been winning from the start!

Here's another shining example of Joes teachings getting the job done. Kris was a killer in the womens field and could hang with the men! This was after her BIG win on the cover of "Pool & Billiard" magazine with subsequent article.

Thinking about my youth.

So many years ago I met a "Little" Joe Villalpando in Wyo. aprrox 1969-1970. He had won a new mustang from a car dealer in Denver. Now I am wondering if this is the same person. I was just a kid still in H.S. He spent few min. showig me a couple of draw shots.

I just saw the picture with "Wyoming Joe" writen above the check. Now I am sure it is the same person. I played at the Campus Cue almost every day and he would stop in now and then.

Joe told me about that car. It wasn't just a Mustang...it was a GT500 Shelby. I'll have to get him to retell the story to me so I can relay more details.

To be honest I thought it was a Shelby, but old age sneeks in now and then. But I do usually remember my name...most of the time. It was an ugly orange brown color if I remember correctly.

The Camus cue? At the university? If so, I spoke with joe and he said he recalls the people and playing there a lot.

Campus Cue. Was near the university, not the tables at the school, but a very nice pool hall few miles away. I played a lot of golf with the "old guys" there on the snooker tables.
