Thanks will watch those when have time. Geronimo is one hitman John Wick would have been proud of :D

In the match I played Edgie, he had like a .920...aside from some dry breaks he didn't really miss a ball. He might've missed one ball and I came out on top of most of the safety battles.

Congratulations! But anyone can win a match in a tournament most especially short races. Vilmos has experience and is a world class player and if he couldn't get near this guy for the cheese, this guy can give u the 7 and it would be a rude awakening for you. Based on what you said about disposable $ means you may have no clue how the pressure n stroke is in a money match or lack experience thereof. These villagers live on that, how do you think any seasoned money player from that country can go anywhere in the world and offer weight on long race to top players and win?

This guy played Ruben Bautista from Mexico who went hill hill with Orcullo in a tournament get the 8/10 for thousands and win each and everytime. These guys our in a different class! I've been watching everyone of them who come here for the last 20 years! Same thing! I remember a money match in 90's Efren gave George Ginky San Souci the 7 in efrens prime and destroyed Ginky like he don't know pool! Ginky at the time was like SVB today... And I heard efren gets the 8 from this kid...

Where did Jaden say he could compete in a money match with Geronimo? He said he played him in a tournament and won. He should be proud of it. Nice win I'd say

I never even once brought up that I beat him.

I haven't even brought up that I beat him. Every time it was mentioned, I only commented on winning AFTER someone else brought it up(the winning part at least).

Yes, it was a short race and only on the winner's side, but according to some, (regarding Shane and world championships) that determines the better player .

I've been able to play perfect pool for over a decade. I HAVEN'T been able to compete well in almost 20 years. That's why 20 years ago I gave up the game for 7 years.

I love the game and with the experience that traveling across the country in my last job has given me and now thanks to Oscar and Desiree, Mezz and West State Billiards, I've been able to compete against those types of players regularly and discover what I've been doing differently when competing.

I have to thank them and Donny Mills and Shawn Putnam for being able to discover the cause of my lack of ability to compete and being able to overcome the obstacles. I would practice by myself and literally run a five pack of ten ball and then practice with Donny and Shawn and miss once every rack or two.

Now with every tournament I play, I play closer to and for longer periods of time the game I'm capable of. Ask Ernesto...

I'm so grateful to Oscar and Desiree for giving the west coast what it needs and I'm hopeful to see just how far I can go. I'm no spring chicken. If I'm going to do something in pool, it has to be soon.

While I understand that confidence plays a large part in how well you compete, I'm trying to also be humble about my ability, which is why you didn't see a thread on my beating Edgie and why when I mention the match it's more to talk about how they did than how I did.

Vilmos is insanely good and I haven't yet watched the match between him and Edgie. Vilmos was my first draw in this last weekend's mezz event and even though I only missed one ball and scratched twice, I lost. Vilmos literally played 1.000 in that match. He broke and ran all five racks that he broke and ran out every other time he came to the table.

Including a kick in and run out in one of the racks.

The only thing I can like about that match is that I won the lag and broke and ran the first rack.

Then I won the next five matches to play Ernesto, including a tv table match where I beat my opponent 7-2. I'm hoping that Daniel posts that match to youtube so I can analyze how my game is coming in competition.

The match with Ernesto was phenomenal. I wish that THAT match was on the tv table. We both played an insanely high level. He had 4 bnr's I had 3. We had several multiple shot safety battles with kick safes and I had two shots that I kicked in and ran out.

I got an unlucky roll on the hill-hill rack coming off the six and it hit the seven ball 2mm too far so that I had to play safe. After a three shot safety battle, one of my safes leaked out and Ernesto made an excellent bank that he had to change the angle on with inside english to avoid a double kiss and ran out for the win.

His words after the match..."I escaped".

So, yes I am proud of what I did and yes I KNOW that in money matches with most of these guys right now I'd get horsef%#ked (if that wasn't the case, then having small disposable income wouldn't matter or I could get staked), but I am proud of how I'm starting to play and I'm looking forward to seeing just how far I can go.

I suggest you not infer Geronimo is a fictional character from a bigoted 60's tv series. My reading comprehension is just fine.

You didn't comprehend what I was saying. I never said Geronimo the Indian was a fictional character.

You assumed that Edgie was named after Geronimo the Indian. I said I doubt it that because for one, Geronimo is his last name, not his given name. For two, Geronimo or Jeronimo is a common name in cultures with ties to the Spanish, and it's pronounced he-ron-ni-MO.

Lastly, I suggested you read your own Wikipedia link that you posted because that article will tell you that Geronimo the Indian got his nickname from the Mexicans. Yes, the Spanish speaking Mexicans gave him the name Geronimo.
