LIVE STREAM: WPA Players Championship, Apr 12-19, 12 p.m. pacific time

Stream Schedule

If I'm reading the flowchart correctly, the main event is actually a 3-day event, not 4. It looks like the main-event stream will be a total of 10 matches -- 4 today, 4 tomorrow, and 2 on Thursday, with the finals at 2 PM local time Thursday.

I don't know whether some of the consolation event is also being streamed. Is it that event that runs into Friday?

There will be four stream matches every day. The final day will feature the Consolation event final, the two Main Event semi-finals and the final. Thank you.

So the flowchart, as of an hour ago or so, is not correct about the main event ending on Thursday?

Super strong field, around 36 (more than 50%) are top 100 Fargo players i.e. Fargo >765. This is a worthy warmup undercard tournament to the US Open. Much much stronger than previous tournaments around US Open time (eg. Steinway)

Bottom half of bracket is much tough cos it has more top players than top half 21 compared to 15

I like the rule "All matches win by two (2) One rack sudden death at 9-9 or 11-11"

Since it pays up to 32nd ($400), players just have to win 1st match to cover their entry fee of $250 :D before counting other expenses of course.:D

I saw that also-seems main event finish in 3 days . which means cheaper to buy 3 individual days PPV than package for 4 days. I mean who watches the consolation tournament :)

I told you so! Ha Ha. There are a couple of dozen (or more) just like her in China and Taiwan that play a ball (or less) under Siming Chen and are a threat to any male player in a tournament match.
Haha, yes and she is not even Top 10 women, she is #21 Women according to Fargorate :D

Better with just straight race to 9.

This is 4days field of 64 and single elim. No reason to play such a short race even if its win by 2.

A couple dozen out of a billion or so isn't very big numbers :sorry:

Kazakis looks off. Maybe still has not recovered from that recent WPM final thriller

They have corrected the flowchart, and it is now consistent with the news releases and with what was said in this thread by CSI Media. The semifinals and finals of the main event are on Friday.

And we can't find one out of 300 million! The fact that China has produced some of the best women players of all time cannot be denied. Plus the fact that for the first time they are competitive on even terms with the top men players. You can paint that any way you want but it is unprecedented in pool. Previously there have only been one or two outlier women players that could compete on this level. Those days are over!

First there were two or three in China. then there was a dozen and now we don't really know how many there are. Thanks to the progress of Siming and a few others, more and more young Chinese women are taking up the game. All I can say is the men better watch out for them in any tournament they can enter, like the U.S. Open and the International 9-Ball. The times they are changing, and for the better imo.

I agree with you. Single elimination, race to 7? something not right here.
Yes single elim race to 7 is too short. Like World Pool Masters.

People asking Bergman about his 1st rd match on TV table vs DD.

What was that? No wonder. That match was supposed to be last match on TV table but they have replaced it with Alex v Chang Yu Lung which starts 1 hr from now.
They just put players names in the bracket without them knowing about it? LOL

Darren win 7-5 over Thorsten

Darren defeated Thorsten 7-5 and he looked pretty good doing it. He looks much sharper then he has during the past couple of years. It's nice to see him on top of his game again.

I also like single elimination and Race to Seven. That adds pressure to each match. Having alternate breaks allows both players to have their chances, and just as we see in the MC, 9-Ball is not all break and runs. Each match has it's own twists and turns, and whoever performs better under pressure usually will win.
