The event is played on 8 Gabriels Imperator tables; you can check the event website: www.worldcupbilliard.com
There you can find two live-streams, photo gallery and a very interesting video magazine (some items in dutch and some in english). As Kozoom is responsible for the media coverage, these items are magnificent....
day two has started now, the main-event starts this friday (including the 12 seeded players)
My apologies for misreporting the starting time for the quarter-finals -- I made an error converting time zones. I sincerely hope no one missed seeing the matches because of my foolish mistake.
The four semi-finalists are Blomdahl, Polychronopoulos, Kim, and Caudron. Blomdahl was very lucky to go through. Up two sets to one, Umeda led 12-4 in the fourth, and 14-6 in the fifth.
I've had great success with the feed. I am also in Northern California. I get an occasional freeze, but in general the feed had been superb. I have 1.5 Mbps DSL.
They show the final shots from the quarter-finals on, the best shots from each of the rounds, and also the best shots from the Junior event and the 8-and-out that Glenn Hofman made to win the Junior finals.
I watched some of the video magazine stuff and it looked excellent. Kozoom looks to be doing some great things pretty soon. If they actually get a membership thing going where you can watch all of their taped 3-C matches, I'm definately signing up. I'd LOVE to watch the 22 and 20 that Jaspers ran if they happened to have taped it.
Caudron won again, apparently. He is going to go down as one of the greatest billiard players of all time, IMO.
