Loaded Gilbert Titleist Conversion

Price Lowered to $1995

I am putting up for sale my Titleist conversion that Andy did for me. This cue is loaded and it is a monster player. My buddy Shannon Daulton played with it for a couple of hours the other night and called me crazy for selling it because it plays as good as anything he has hit with. I just have too many cues and this needs to be in the hands of someone that will put it to good use.

The cue is 59" (29 1/2 butt, 29 1/2 shafts)
Butt weighs 14.9
Shaft #1 (played sparingly) weighs 3.7
Shaft #2 (unplayed, unhit) weighs 3.9
When weighed together it is 18.7 and 18.9 on my scale
Ivory Hoppe ring
Ivory barbells with sterling
Ivory inlays in the points and butt
Mitered boxes

This cue is in excellent played condition with slight to no bluing on the played shaft and obviously the other shaft is mint. This cue is loaded with ivory and sterling silver and the smooth leather wrap is the nuts. The joint is solid ivory 3/8-10. What else can you ask for?

I am listing the cue for $2250 shipped. Please do not lowball, I have talked to the dealers that post here and they have valued the cue at 2,500+.

I saw this cue at the Derby this year and it is a knockout. Andy builds a helluva cue. Good luck with the sale.

Wow!!!

That is just unreal.

Cues like these are what turned me on to Andy's work, and this one is possibly the nicest Titlist conversion I've seen to date.

If I didn't have a few cues coming, this cue would be mine RIGHT NOW!

Somebody better grab this fast before either YOU come to your senses, or I do some creative financing!

i'm mostly at my senses and a helluva quick grabber, but that's crawdads and they're free..

that's one sweet looking stick there

SUPERCUE, I agree, That's about $800.00 dollars less than broker/dealer cost.
The sale price of this paticular cue would be $2900.00 to $3100.00 dollars appx
There's alot of work in the cue, loaded with ivory, mother of pearl, barbells, box window veneers, Going To Be a Fast Sale!
( 2 shafts too! ) :)

Love That Cue

I think I may have seriously considered it, if it weren't so light. That is one reason for selling my gilbert is it was about 18.5. Bump for probably THE NICEST modern TITLIST conversion!!!

Thanks for the compliments on the cue. You are correct that the cue retails at about 3k, can't say what dealer cost would be as I do not know.

All of the inlays on the cue are either sterling silver or ivory. (except the boxes). Sorry if in the pics they appear to be MOP.

I absolutely love the chicken and the cat. Both getting the better of idiot kids. Hilarious.

I don't think I'd call you stupid for selling, but to be sure, its a very nice looking classic design.

I'm not at all familiar with Titlist conversion cues. What is the hit like on this cue? Is it real stiff or on the softer side?

It has a very solid feel, not at all soft. It is not the stiffest cue you will ever hit with but it is very solid.

I really like the way the cue plays. I don't play a tremendous amount (about once a week) but this has been my player for the last 4 months. I have another Gilbert set (player,j/b) that I have used for 2 years previously that I went back to playing with. I am partial to the piloted ivory 5/16-14 joint on my older one instead of the solid ivory big pin style. It is all in what you get used to I guess.

I am a big fan of Andy's cue and I have another on order right now.

Thanks for the PM's with trade offers + cash but I really need to sell outright. I am in no immediate rush to move the cue so I will be patient although I will still entertain very close offers.

Thanks,
Daniel

Thanks JG. Yeah I would imagine he has hit with a few. He said this cue plays very similar to his JW he is playing with.

When I didn't want to sell the cue I had a few people here offer to buy it from me and now that I have decided I will part with it.....well you know how it goes.

Nice cue. Can weight be added in the butt? What are the size of the shafts (12.5mm, 12.75mm, etc.)? Is it straight together and apart?

Thanks, Dave

I would imagine weight could be added easily but you could call Andy to be sure.

It is straight as an arrow together, apart, upside down and inside out. The played shaft is tapered a little more and is about 12.85 and the new shaft is 13.02.
