Lol, nice move Scott

That's 74 pages of solid AZB gold right there!

Yeah, I wish we had a HOF thread section or something like that where classic threads like that were posted in. There have been several threads that absolutely qualify. Another one that comes to mind is when the cuemaker Trent sort of screwed a customer over and then created a 2nd account to agree with his own posts...more gold in that thread!

Scott took advantage of his lazy score keeping and grabbed the 8. If he were scoring his balls, only the 12 would have been available to spot. Ask the old timers about putting the 8 on the spot. It was routine to use the 8 because it is the hardest to aim on from 8 feet away.

I didn't like how the 8 reacted, but I won't presume the ball was doctored as has been insinuated... however, his choice showed cunning.

There's a reason the 1 and 5 are required on the corners for straight pool breaks.

Hitting a moving object ball advantageous to your position in One Pocket is typically loss of game immediately.

That 2 ball bounced a fair amount to just not notice it.

The 1 and the 5 go on the corners for purposes of contrast with adjacent balls. Same reason some people don't like certain combinations of balls at the front of a one pocket rack (e.g., 6 in the front and 8 second).

Contrast is irrelevant to an isolated ball on a spot shot.

Amen man, this is a worthless thread by newbie 1P players who know nothing about the game.

Wow - you guys are creating something out of thin air.

A ball is a ball - is a ball.
Common practice in one pocket to just grab a ball and spot it. If you were to wait for the 'pocketed ball' to return, you are waiting awhile (on some tables). That takes time and after awhile will grind on the players.

On the second situation. Accidents happen. Why assume the worst. And mistakes happen - why assume the player is 'moving'?

You know the players sometimes are their own worst enemies. Sometimes the peanut gallery is just as bad.

Just my two cents. And I am as hard on unethical behavior as anyone. Some people need to have a reality check.

Even with my biased opinion I have to agree. You and I in our two sessions of playing never had an argument playing. Look forward to us playing again down the road.

I have to ask a question. I do not want to perpetuate an on going debate, but I read most of the thread above regarding Dippy Dave stiffing Scott/Billy on the pool match and truck.

It happened before I koined AZ, so this is the first I have heard. In a nutshell, what sorted out in the end? Did Dippy pay the pool debt and the truck? Is Dippy still big action and if so, do Scott and Dippy match up?

Not looking for 74 pages:)

Dredging up an oldie.

I'm a newbie? So you're saying if I deflected a moving ball to make it easier to go in my pocket, I wouldn't lose?

Everyone else calls it Unsportsmanlike and I lose.

If you let that slide, especially for the cash they were playing for, you're a saint or an idiot.
