Where is the best place to find long taps for weight bolts and such? PM me or reply to the thread will be fine.
Thanks

Most bolts are 3/8 x 16 and you can find some long taps on fleabay ... Machine set screws work well , also on fleabay in different lengths , and use an allen wrench ...

Depends on what you consider a long tap...I have a 15" L x 3/8"x16 tpi one...don't always use the full length, but it's nice to have that available. I like my weight screws to be more in the handle area rather then stuck into the end of the cue. They are available thru various companies, but aren't cheap. It also is important to know what size tap are you looking for?...3/8, 1/2", 7/16", 5/8",etc...

I found a 7" 3/8-16. Where did you find a 15"??
Thanks

Make sure it's a Nut Tap so the long shank is smaller in diameter than the hole.

The problem with a NUT TAP is that the first inch of threads is a
ridiculously long taper. Your bolt won't get to full tap depth before it binds.
A PULLEY TAP is an option. It's an extended length std tap but has a large shank.
If you're courageous you can cut it to what you like or you can have it ground.
There is a search-phrase of 'EXTENDED TAP' that usually brings good results.

The shank of a pulley tap will not fit in the hole so you can only tap as deep as the threads on the tap.

I drill the hole 6 inches deep and tap it with my nut tap and there is no problem...............

I'm aware of the configuration of a pulley tap; that's why I stated:
