longoni cues

Since you're not going to be able to test them before you select one ... Select the one that is most visually appealing to you. Regarless, then, of how it hits, you'll like the looks of your new cue!
i played with a longoni for 2years back when they didnt have the special shafts, back then they only came with a reg shaft, and it hit ok. nothing special for me. i know of 2dudes though, that use newer longonis that shoot pretty impressive.
i say get something else. jmo. they really are good cues and cant beat "made in italy" on any tag
(lamborghini, ferrari, alfa romeo, prada, gucci, brioni, etc) but i think they make 3cushion billiards cues better than most, just not that impressive in pool. looking at the price range, you have a wide selection.. and somebody told me once, never buy a cue without hitting with it. i've made the mistake a few times

Longoni makes a decent production cue. Its too bad you can't try one out first. I purchased a carom cue sight unseen several years ago and it turned out fine. But it came with upgraded shafts. The butt was a 4 Star with lets say 5 Star "Pro" shafts. You might look into some of the better shafts. You probably don't need to go to the laminated ones but the shaft wood is better as you go up from standard.
I've had an E-1 and bought an E-5 for a friend. They are simple, no frills cues that play well. Great beginner cues.
You should pay less than 200€ for the E series since they are rather old and discontinued by Longoni. The M-1 is one of the Mika Immonen series and also discontinued. A possible upgrade path is buying a Longoni Master shaft (with inlays in the shaft) or, of course, any aftermarket shaft.
I would say all play very similar with the only difference being the visual appealing of each model.
