Nice score on that table! I have the same table, & had it converted to a pool table also. Mine is tangerine color though.

Except this one has no score counters in the foot rail. I was curious about yours having the counters, so I asked Mark how many of the snooker tables has he converted to pool tables, that had the counters in the rails, he told me none did, so maybe you have score counters that someone installed aftermarket. Post a picture, I'd like to see if you get a chance.

They could have been added later or special order, I don't know. 50 years from now someone will be trying to figure out why the pockets are so wide:grin:

Hey guys I wanted to post some pics of the table, at my place. The long drive was worth it, it's in very nice used shape. He sure cared for it. There are no stickers on the slate to identify from so I posted as many pics of numbers and items as I can, I also found a matching scoreboard I wasn't expecing to get and they didn't charge me extra! Wohoo! The cues have no markings other than H M L references the table has been wiped down but not the aprons or the lower skirts that cover the pockets. Slate was dowels after all so thank you for that tip! Enjoy!

Last set of pictures, I did contact the previous home owner about the post, she gave me the number of the gentleman locally who put it in.

Apparently there was an engineered LVL beam installed to span the space without the post, however once settled a squeak developed in the upstairs hallway so he was called back to install a jack post to make that go away... completely removable with no issues...

The previous home owner(s) were larger than myself and my girlfriend so I am going to take a chance and assume we wont be squeaking, even still... cant hear the squeak when I am playing pool

Well, that sucks!!! It all seemed to go together well, nothing seemed missing... I guess I have to work with it, now that its home.. Does anything else look out of line?

I don't know, show some pictures of the slates. From what the one picture you showed of the slates, it appears like it was a foot slate because it looks like it was ground out to make room for score counters in which the table don't have. The frame looks like it was made by Gandy.

Well I found this, in the pile of stuff, and then hit Google and found this old article from the 70's.. could be that I own a US/Canadian/Italian hybrid with Brunswick rails aprons and feet?

I will take some more pictures of the slate etc when I get home tonight for sure.

That's what I thought when I saw the frame, but mine is the only other one I've seen. The legs, stretcher & pocket castings look like mine, but not the frame or the hooks that hold the bridge/rest.

The score counter relief notches in the slate look different than mine also.

Still a nice table though.

Well, I forgot to take slate pictures last night, however I did take the rails/aprons apart and get them, and the castings, all labelled and ready to ship to Mark Gregory!

After some debate with myself, my wallet, and my gf, it was time to bite the bullet... probably the biggest expense for a "me project" ever, but after seeing his work and all of the great reviews and incredible finished products, I have no worries. I am stoked. I will keep you all updated as time goes on, I will get more slate pictures on here too!

While everything is away I am planning to have the frame level and slate on and level/shimmed etc, With the help of RKC 8 page instructions I found , I am going to give this a shot myself.

Update

Well, its been a long time, and a lot of things have changed. I did not end up getting my rails to Mark, I did find someone more local and this side of the border that did a bang up job and everything is now together and playing literally perfect. I can not be any more happy. Dream come true. Once I get the light up I will take better pictures not on my phone sorry if they are grainy.

Beautiful table. Thanks for sharing the pics.

Why not put the plastic skirts back on? Its rare to have them and imo they are what makes the GC1 look complete.
