Look what I found! :)

That is a little odd that the sides are about as tight as the corners, usually the side pockets are quite a bit wider. I thought my side pockets were tight because they are about 5"-5 1/4", never actually measured them just put balls in them side by side, and my corners are 4 3/8"

Who did those pockets ?
They appear to be "honest" 4 3/8" to me.

Chris, when you measure pocket with a tape like you are showing, that's not a true measure mentioned of the pocket because you're measuring the points of the corner pocket that the balls don't come into contact with as they touch the pocket facings well below those measured points, in which because of the down angle, are in fact wider than the points you measured. For the most part, the pockets depending on the down angle, are any where from 1/16th to 1/8th wider at the ball contact point than the measurement from point to point across the pocket opening. When you place the 2 balls across the mouth of the pocket side by side, that's when you get the true measurement of the pocket openings. If the balls sit half way between the points of the pockets, that's 4 1/2". If one ball is lined up with the points and the second ball sits outside of that center line, you can then take a look at the eclipse of the 2 balls and subtract the eclipse from 4 1/2" to get a better idea of the pocket opening.

This is great info, also something I did not know. When I go home I will measure the lower section and see what happens. Now I am curious, still a tough table for me though ahahah 4.5 or not lol

While everything is away I am planning to have the frame level and slate on and level/shimmed etc, With the help of RKC 8 page instructions I found , I am going to give this a shot myself.

Wish me luck!!

Hey Chris,

Your table looks great !
Did you end up leveling the frame & slate yourself?

Thanks for the updates & pics.

It would appear that way! LOL traditionally all of my friends and family play 8/9/10 ball and I have a couple friends that play 1 pocket as well.

The snooker balls are more for me specifically to be able to still play the game with my same playing cue and the same size balls so my stroke stays fairly consistent across the board.

They will likely not see a lot of use other than a rainy day.

Aramith makes 2.25 snooker balls with or without numbers.

I plan to get a set for my table.

I leveled the frame myself yes, but not the slate. I bought the snooker balls from Nielsens store on Ebay (joerackem) I have purchased lots from him in the past and always get top quality and exactly as described, aramith 2.25 no numbers and they play awesome!!

Except this one has no score counters in the foot rail. I was curious about yours having the counters, so I asked Mark how many of the snooker tables has he converted to pool tables, that had the counters in the rails, he told me none did, so maybe you have score counters that someone installed aftermarket. Post a picture, I'd like to see if you get a chance.

Sorry for the late reply,

I have been traveling back & forth to where my table is, (3200 miles round trip) but I have not had the time to finish setting it up yet. So I will not be able to post a currant photo, but here is one as it was when I bought the table.

Lucky this is the side with the rail counters!
