My ball set exactly. Glad you passed on the horrid brown & pink TV set.
Also remember if you don't have a table at home, you can do as many of the pros do...whenever Kelly Fisher or Tiffany Nelson come into my room to practice, they bring their own box of balls. Always playing with the exact same type of balls will help with consistancy.

No doubt about it. At least if you compare what you find in the pool rooms, that is. I don't know if brand new centennials are different in size and weight compared to the Super Aramiths, but in most pool rooms they are not only different, they play slightly differently, differently enough that some compensation may be needed for critical cut and other shots.

If both sets are clean they should play the same, no? Maybe the centennials are more prone to grime and dirt which will cause more throw. If there is a difference in the way they play when both sets are clean I wouldn't be able to tell.

They play fantastic. I also have the Pro-Cup ball, as well as a Red-dot for those who were asking.
I think they play the same as long as both are clean, though no poolhall has balls as clean as mine

They all feel the same. They all feel heavy and gives a firm hit.
Where as i play in other rooms with older set of balls .. and they feel and move differnly. like the ball would deflect more and feel lighter.
and out of those balls the cue balls all react differntly. from the measles to the red dot to the blue circle to the aramith logo one. but a brand new set of balls.. always have that heavy feel to it that i like. feels easier to hit the ball into the pocket with out worrying about it moving in another direction.

Some rooms are Centennial's only, such as Chris's, Airway, Fast Eddies and First Break; others are Super Pro Aramiths, but at Cue-Phoria they have BOTH sets... Different cue balls make an incredible difference (as you noted), but let me tell you brother, there IS a difference between the Centennials and the Super Pros at Cue-Phoria. I'm sure about it. Sometimes there'll be a set of balls that is mixed up. Guess what happens when I play with that set? First thing is I don't mention it to whomever I'm playing with. Why? They play differently. If you think they don't, that's fine. I know they do, and I make slight adjustments. It helps me win.
That being said, it's quite possible that the sets you've played with play exactly the same. My experience has been different.
