Kevin - I'm sure Allen would play if you played him at his house. He's tied up with the expo, but if you're looking for great practice, I know he'll play for what you're looking for if he doesn't have to drive.

He didn't ask me to post this, but I know he'll play as long as he doesn't have to drive since he has to watch his son and all. If his house is within 3 hrs of you (I think it is), Allen is a super person to play for tough 14.1 experience.

He has a beautiful Diamond in his house... plays very well. I'm still trying to find a good gaffy game to play with him because I can't find a spot that works. That said, I'm a sliver of your speed. Wish you the best - I like your style.
 
no i own a pool hall in scranton pa was i deliver truck driver 5 years ago just recently bought a pool room 5 years ago been playing for years
 
ty yes i have talked with allen in past which we had some days that we would play but just never happen allen is great person i have played him in the past and he is good person to play ty sir
 
Have you tried Bob down at the Drexeline? He's one of the best locally...

I hope you can hook up with Andy T here in Downingtown and play - if I am lucky enough to be free I'll come watch. there is another player here that comes in named Jeff (last name?) who plays pretty sporty, not sure if he'd want to match up with you.

Did you try Bob on here or via the Drexeline Facebook page? I am surprised he wouldn't respond, doesn't seem in his character...good luck and I hope you find the competition you are looking for...wish I could give it to you but I am not ready yet (need a couple more years of seasoning before I try and swim in the big kids pool with no floaties!)
 
Bob doesn't post on here. The Drexeline pool room number is 610-259-9144. He is there every day from about 11am to 5pm. Call and ask to speak with him during those hours. But don't just show up as he is usually busy with maintaining the room during the day.
 
Have you contacted Dave Daya in Mt. Carmel, or Ed Matushonick in West Hazleton?

If you need to gamble to enjoy the game, you'll find some of the more frugal 14.1 players will avoid you.

If you need to gamble, it's not about the game, but about something even bigger.

Try Drexeline Billiards. Lots of 14.1 players there from noon-6 on weekends.

I don't think you mean the good luck. Sounds like you are anti-gamble. So, why are you trying to get in the way of somebody wanting to make a game. It does not look like any trapping is going on here, all consenting adults with the names being bandied about are all actual high run capable players. No need to get testy.

Actually, I do. I hope the OP finds a game and has fun. If my comments "gets in the way", maybe that's a good thing. ;)
 
yes called the pool room at drexeline couple times which if cant make game no big deal i play dave daya and ed multiple times looking to play other players

and also and as for ELVISCASH bad name for a person that is going to preach the GAMBLE thing u understand

bad name ELVISCASH for a preacher of the gambling thing and a 200-300 a game today that just a comfortable bet people played higher then that in the 80s

I'm there on some weekends from noon-6. Never have a problem getting a friendly and challenging 14.1 game. Been running 40s lately, still a way to go before I'm back in stroke.

Kevin I do not know what you mean a preacher of the gambling thing. Myselft, I wish you luck getting a game I am in no way against you finding a game you like for 200-300 whatever so I do not think you understand my post. My post was in response to the poolmouse quote below. I gamble myself and have put players in action so I am not against you finding a game in any way. Good luck to you.
