Looking for a base to teach from

I am looking for a place to move too and set up as a home base.

I need somewhere where there are a lot of players, and also easy to travel to do the coaching clinics i have and will be lining up.

If anyone is interested or knows of any pool room owner who would be interested in me working out of there pool room, and somewhere i can practice also.

Please inbox me or my email is lee@leebrettpool.com

Thanks

New Orleans/Metairie, Louisiana. Great place to live work and play pool.
Many Regards,
Lock N Load.

memphis. 3 pool halls that stay pretty busy. a couple wanna be pool halls. one pool hall that stays open 24/7 with all diamond tables.

oh yea.... a buncha bangers that could use lessons

This is a possibility Mr Renfro mentioned this area a while ago to me. I need lots of league players where i go also.

Snookers in RI or Danvers MA...

Great DVD...

Pete

Thanks Pete, glad you liked it.

Chicago is a great city to travel from. Atlanta is the only other airport that offers so many direct flights but it's not as centrally located as Chicago.

I don't know how Chicago compares to other cities as a pool scene though.

Nor do we know how well you tolerate cold and snow

I have been in Chicago visiting friends twice in the last month, i am not sure if there are enough players there for me, but i will be back to do clinics in the near future.

Well, I'd love to say my home town...unfortunately, only bar tables here in bars so seedy that the only "pros" around the tables are hookers. Cindy & I drive 40 miles to play in a decent pool hall with 9' tables. :sorry:

So, I'll defer to the other suggestions.

Lee, wherever you go, that location is gaining one supurb instructor.

thank you buddy, i can come out that way when i do the clinics in Cali and San fran, maybe you can see if there are people interested.

Albany, NY.

OK... wishful thinking.

I will be teaching in your area in the next few weeks, just picking up my o1 visa in Canada, then i head to NY area, Virginia, W Virginia, Baltimore and maybe N Carolina. Maybe you can see if anyone wants any lessons. :)

Lee, sent you a PM @ a possibility/house in Greensboro, NC.

Replied to you Kat thanks buddy.

Also keep the suggestions coming, i appreciate them all and where i can possibly set up base or even do future clinics.

Regards Lee

I will add Queens, NY. There about 10 pool rooms that's alway very actives...4 of pool rooms is within walking distances to me. Amsterdam and Society are in the city, you got Steinway, Paradise, Spin City, BQE in Queens, Skyline in Brooklyn, Racks in Long Island, tons of pool players in New York. It's a great city for Pool where some of the best call their home.

i agree, you cant beat the sheer population density of NYC.

i was going to... say north carolina too. A pool- happy state, raliegh area, could even to charlotte.

Raleigh better, closer to i-95.

i could not tell you how many league players there are around here. i got a good idea how many teams but since a lot of them play more than once a week it throws the number of actual players off.

apa has leagues 7 nights a week. some hights there is more than one division playing. apa has both in house and travel 8 ball . both travel and in house 9 ball. in house double jeapordy. in house scotch doubles. every division has 10 or more teams in it. i am probably missing a division or 2.

memphis pool league has 24 teams on monday night, 26 teams on tuesday night. all travel teams.

napa just got started and dont have a lot of teams yet. they play on wed and sat.

several places have in house money leagues.

my fav hangout is high pockets. they have leagues or tournaments going on every night. they always have a pretty good crowd on thur nights for the 9 ball tourny on the 9 footers.

i play the following schedule at high pockets.

sunday night in house apa double jeapordy.

my tue night apa 8 ball travel team is based there.

wed night in house money league

was thur night in house napa, moving to saturdays next session.

fri night apa in house scotch doubles.

i did have a memphis pool league travel team based there but i dropped it, just too much pool my gf said so i dropped that team. there is another memphis league team based there though.

Hey Lee,

Saw a missed call the other night but no message so I have been slow checking back with you...

I'd say you would have a shot with Jerry at "The Rack" or Tracy at "HighPockets" if you consider Memphis... I only know them in passing but I bet there are a few regulars stalking the forums that might be able to open a door if you are interested in the area...

The next nice thing about Memphis if you can get the league players into lessons is Little Rock is a really short drive away and they had a few thousand league players as well last I knew....

Busy trying to prepare for the end of the world or year end audits for clients, whichever comes first... Will try and catch up with you this weekend when the world slows down some.....

Shoot straight,
Chris

pool cities

I have to say the atlanta apa franchise has over 4000 active players as well as a number of tap and bca organizations with leagues every week night at over 5 pool rooms with 9 foot tables within 45 minutes of each other if thats the kind of info you are looking for feel free to pm me if you want any more info.

Then how about Dallas or Ft. Worth? Obviously Randy G's school is in Dallas and that would provide some competition, but last time I checked DFW was pretty big, plus it seems like most of the action is on the Ft. Worth side nowadays.

The DFW area is now the 4th largest media market with over 6.5 million people. There are many places to play and lots of players. The airport is central to the US and is a major hub. So it would be very easy and affordable for people to fly in for lessons. The cost of living is very reasonable.
