Jim is making me this case right now (GL911S). It is basically a case like the one in the Hustler with a strap in black. You can get it without the strap also (GL911). Below is the link. Jim opened up for orders and you can email him if interested at FIST98@AOL.COM.

This is an excellent suggestion. We also make one like this and are much more expensive than Murnak's version. (EDIT: oops made a mistake - just noticed that on Murnak's site his is $525. Ours is $500 plus $75 shipping so at $575 we are not much more expensive. We thought that the $375 price listed at Indy Q Shop was the regular price. Indy Q also had them on sale for $233 but they are all marked sold out.)

Our version can be found here: http://www.jbcases.com/history.html

We use a plastic tube and line it with foam backed soft liner so that each cue part is securely and snugly held away from the other parts.

This liner will not allow the cues to be jostled or bumped against each other in transit. The case can be inverted and the cues will remain in place and yet they are easily removable.

A common problem with this style of case is that the bottom would eventually fall out because the constant pressure on it from the cues would weaken the threads. We solved this problem by completely sealing the bottom of the plastic tube so that there is zero pressure on the leather covering.

We also make 1x2 cases like this if interested:

Now that's just flat-out old school sexy right there. Can't wait to see someone come out with a 2x4 version of this case style.

That case is a sweet one Jb cases are great looing to get another one real soon.

Can't go wrong with good old USA cases...Justis, Whitten and Murnak. Great cases and all three are fine gentlemen with great customer service!

Don't forget Rusty Melton, Ron Thomas, Marc Turcasso, Brian Bonner, Quivers, Castillo or Garth Bair also all living and working in the USA.

If one is not limited to the USA there are several good case makers in Germany.

We have a list of case makers on our site here www.jbcases.com/aboutus.html and a gallery of other casemaker's work in the gallery section of our site.

Steve Price:
I made my first leather cue case when I was seventeen (65 now). It was an 1x2 envelope case made of ball glove leather and lined
with pool table cloth.
When I was about 20 Bill Stroud and Dan Janes convinced me to make more and I ended up making and selling a bunch of them.
over the next 4 or 5 years.
I had an old Singer hand/treadle operated sewing machine that had belonged to Ringling Brothers and that's what I used to sew the cases.
Paid 65.00 for it. Started making case again in 2000. I work alone in my shop here at the house and only make about one or two cases a month right now.
I live in Clearwater, Fl. Just me and two dogs. I am retired from law enforcement.
Jay Helfert and I were in the Army together back in '67. He turned me on to Johnston City.
Ray Martin and I traveled together in the late 90's for about 3 years.

Made in limited quantities by one man, one woman.

Some very pretty ones there. Mr. Thomas does excellent work. Lots of choice there for any consumer looking for a 1x2 case. Like us he uses a lot of interesting cowhide prints and some exotic skins.

Between us and Mr. Thomas and all the other fine case makers listed it seems as if there is plenty of choice out there to house his Bill Schick.

All of the GTF cases outside the four standard models of Black Nappa, Brown Nappa, and Black and Brown Lizard are extremely limited models as well. Some of them can never be made again because the leather is simply not available.

Also we specialize in doing custom tooled GTF Cases if that's what the customer would like,

For example:

And this one that we made to match a high end Bill Schick cue. It contains five ivory pieces carved by Mr. Schick. Four to match the scrimshawed inlays in the cue and one extremely rare hand carved signature by Mr. Schick.
