The thread says it all, I'm a collector with over 80 cues, just want to know how and what techniques are used, even why? Curiosity paves the way to Knowledge.....

Chris Hightower has a good book for aspiring cuemakers that should provide all the info
you would ever want... and more.

Available on DVD - not sure if the paper version is still offered.

Plus, there are a year's worth of videos, many on youtube, that give mucho details.

If the mood should strike you, for not too much more than what you spent on your 80 cues,
you might be able to someday make a cue yourself.:) <cuemaker joke>

There are also a few websites out there that have plenty of photos for information on some techniques of construction. One of them is another pool forum. Another is Dzuricky's site, which is enough info for most collectors.

If your a collector...

A must have is Burton Spains book "Making Blanks"

Dale, I'm 68 and retired, it would take another life to launch a cuemakers trade, but I'm not too old to learn the many aspects of this game we all like so much, Larry...........
