Someone had custom phenolic bumper for sale years ago..... try searching the forums.

This is the "Ask The Cuemaker" sub-forum. I was hoping a cue maker either had one for sale or might offer to make one.
I was 1/2 sleep when I posted Ask The Cue Maker... sorry. I deleted post #4.

The bumper in the photo is not phenolic. That is an rubber bumper. Do you want an end cap made of phenolic in that shape?????

Making one of those is quite simple, I'm sure that there are several folks here that can do it if that is what you want. You'lll just need to provide dimensions that you are looking for.

Yes, I am looking for that size/style made from phenolic or G10. I attached the picture as an example.

Here are a couple pictures of the bumper I am looking to replace.

AZB member tg_vegas made me a phenolic bumper, I will take a picture on post in this thread when I have it in the cue.

Thanks all for the comments and thanks again tg_vegas, great communication throughout the day as he machined the bumper.

I made about 20 of these in the past two weeks driven by this post. I don't understand the concept of a phenolic bumper but some seem to like them...

Danny Harriman played with one of my cues for a while. He had someone make a phenolic bumper for it and said it increased the feedback he felt. Others have said it amplifies the sound.

Not a cue maker yet, still learning.
I just thought it was interesting that the original rubber bumpers were less about protecting the butt and more about dampening the noise of hitting the butt on the floor.
