Dallas cuemaker

Don Wallace is a great cuemaker in Arlington. He does all of my work, most of my friends', and my custom by him gets noticed everywhere. Mike Massey made great comments about it. 817-301-4011 Tell him Aaron sent you.

Jerry is here in Pearland just south of Houston. He makes great cues. I shoot with one as well. There have been a few people that have gone and picked up an Olivier as well after shooting with mine.

DFW cuemakers

People in or around the DFW area are privileged to have some excellent cuemaking talent in the area. Per capita - it could well be one of the best areas in the country (unless you count eastern New Mexico, or Southern California).

Steve Klein - Roanoke - steve@kleincues.com
E-mails are returned quickly when Steve is not performing disaster relief. I own two of his cues and highly recommend his work. Steve is also one hell of a nice guy.

Don Wallace - Arlington. Don is an Aerospace machinist and I consider him a friend. While not broadly known - his work is of the highest quality. You will not find a more meticulous or knowledgeable man with a lathe - anywhere.

Jim Odom - Ft Worth - Phone: 817.370.2931 Don't know much about Jim except he has a great local reputation, and is a nice gentleman to visit with.

Rumor on the street is Steve Hebert (Abear) is moving back to Arlington and returning to his art. Not 100% on this one - but he was in the Arlington area pool halls a few weeks ago and that's what he was telling an acquaintance. Unfortunately I did not get the opportunity to visit with him personally as I was concentrating on the tournament.

OB is also in the area - if you are looking for a special shaft. Royce is a huge supporter of pool and is well known locally. His rep is top notch. He can help with a new cue as well.

Hope the info helps. Have a great holiday weekend.

There is also John Nemec, Larry Vigus, and myself! Steve Klein would be a great choice as well as Jim Odom.

If you need contact info for any of the people listed above or that I have mentioned, I would be glad to share those with you! Just shoot me a PM.

I agree, go for a Jerry Olivier. www.jocues.com. I know Jerry fairly well and he is a really nice guy that does BEAUTIFUL work. I don't personally shoot with one of his cues but I have hit with a lot of them and they hit great. A lot of people in the Houston area shoot with them.

Steve Kornelle is also in that north texas, oklahoma area. He is a master of ivory and beautiful cues. Pretty reasonably priced too. He used to be Verl Horn's apprentice so you know he knows his stuff.

Don Wallace - Arlington

WOW! I am so excited to see the recommendations for Don.

I was fortunate enough to meet Don almost two years ago. He works on both mine and my boyfriend's cues. A little over a year ago, I was fortunate enough to purchase a cue he made several years back. I took it to him to have the weight taken down. He had seen me play enough that he made some additional changes to help my game. I love this cue! Not only is it beautiful, but it is very well crafted.

Currently, he is in the process of making a cue for my better half, and hopefully me after that.

I love Jim Odom too. I have a jump cue that he made.

I would say Jerry Olivier.....make a heck of a playing cue. I've seen lot of players in Houston using his cues... I have owned maybe over 12 of his cues and they all plays amazing (probably has a lot to do with his taper). From his sneeky to his high end cues...it's so consistent that I think his playability consistent is much better than schon. Schon by far has the best consistent in term of playability for a semi production shop and Jerry hand down for custom cues IMHO.

Duc.
